This 16 day unit from the Introduction to AFNR Course focuses on introducing students to components of ecosystems, biomes, food chains, trophic levels and natural selection. Students will also learn about the impacts humans have on our natural world, test water samples and analyze biochemical cycles. Students will explore our national parks as well in this unit.
This comprehensive curriculum is designed to have every minute of every lesson planned for you. Lessons contain all of the resources necessary to successfully deliver this engaging curriculum. Through detailed Instructor Guides, teachers will feel comfortable, no matter their experience, in teaching this course. Instructor Guides include material lists, a time breakdown for each lesson designed to fill a 45 minute class period, national AFNR standards, instructor pre-work, and an explanation of each component of the lessons, including reflection and conclusion questions/answers. Instructor Resources include all handouts, visuals, keys and slides teachers need to facilitate learning in the classroom. Lessons also include a Student Handout to allow students to further engage in the lessons.
