In this three day lesson, students will be introduced to Supervised Agricultural Experiences and the different types of SAEs available to students. Students will complete a SAE inventory to learn about SAEs that align with their interests and the resources available to them. Students will also be introduced to FFA awards they can receive based on their SAE. This lesson is contained in the FFA Unit and the Introduction to AFNR course.

Lessons contain all of the resources necessary to successfully deliver the curriculum. Through detailed Instructor Guides, teachers will feel comfortable, no matter their experience, in teaching this unit. Instructor Guides include material lists, time breakdown for the lesson, national standards, instructor pre-work, and an explanation of each component of the lesson, including reflection and conclusion questions/answers.
